I thought I'd share with you some of my favourites from the drugstore, so if you're thinking of going on a beauty haul you can take a snoop at some of these treasures on the shelves.
Enjoy!
drugstore favourites
1. Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Shadow - I have this product in And On Bronze which is beautiful metallic shade. These are great for eyeshadow bases or just a quick sweep of colour. You can buy them here at Boots.com for £4.99.

2.Rimmel London Match Perfection Range - I love this range as it has a GREAT colour range, I have mine in light porcelain which is my perfect shade as I am a very pale girly, with pink undertones. I find it so hard to get drugstore foundations with no orange or yellow tints, so this is holy grail as you buy the liquid and cream compact for around £7.00 here .

3.Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in Pinched - This is a lovely light cream blush which just gives a lovely peachy glow to the cheeks - a must have for spring/summer!
If I were you I would check it out here as it is well worth £7.99.

4. Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer - check out a previous post for more information on  this shiny lip product or buy here for £5.99.

5. Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Fruiti - This is a great moisturising lip colour and in the colour 'tutti fruiti' makes blue eyes pop, check it out here .

6. Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Gel Effect Nail Polish - I love this bargain nail paint, I love the colour Greenberry which is a neon turquoise which looks gorgeous on fingers and toes. But most important DOES NOT CHIP, yes quick buy it here £3.99.

7. Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick - These lipsticks come in EVERY colour so I'm sure you will find one that will wow you, but the one that wows me is galactic mauve LOVE IT and the vanilla scent! (£7.19)

8. Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder - What can I say? Who doesn't love a product that is £3.99  that does what it says on the tin WELL - hmmm me too!

9. Balmi Lip Balm - These are the british version of EOS lip balms, they are fun and easy to put on in one quick sweep - oh and did I mention they smell oh oh oh SOOO DELICOUS!
Buy now for £4.99 I dare you - protect your lips people ( there I gave you an excuse!).

10. Rimmel London Nail Polish - The whole range of rimmel lipsticks are a very good quality I suggest you check them out here. Some of my favourites are the sixty second nails in fast & fuschia and pulsating, both gorgeous colours and only £3.69!

My Mini Beauty Splash!

SOOOOOO I may have nipped into my local boots the other day armed with my brand new advantage card and bought few bits and a few bobs urrmmmmm.
I must prewarningly apologise for my very amatory photography which will be displayed throughout the post, but hopefully you will get the gist of the product and the colour etc.
So I shall begin!

Item une: A Rimmel London Cocktail Colour Nail Polish in shade SHIRLEY TEMPLE.

Is it me or is this summer in a polish?
This is a rather glamorous sparkly orange colour which applies as a normal nail polish(it only needs 1 or 2 coats depending how bright you want it.)
This polish is perfect for spring/summer and will look even cuter with a tan , I am though pale forever and always, so this is as good as it will get for me. Even so I do feel it adds a certain radiance and warmth to my pale phalanges (ooooh posh) , it definitely makes me think of a summer sunset.
A bonus to the polish is that it is available for £3.99 which is middle of the drugstore range I feel, but also I love that Rimmel have gone all out with the naming of the polishes. I mean Shirley Temple is a scrumptious drink and now a dazzling paint!

This is with 2 coats
I love this polish , click here to buy at boots.com

Item two: Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in shade NUDE ECLIPSE

Cute packaging might I add.

You've probably heard alot about this nifty lip product alot already in the blogasphere and I see why everyone is raving about it. I am in LOVE. Yes, this product is amazing it has everything, I shall explain. I must admit I really really dislike lip gloss, I can't stand the sticky-icky-ness of them, but I do however love the shine effect they give. This product combines to the texture of a lipstick, the appliance of lip gloss and the slight shine of a lipgloss. Yes, I hear you say it is AMAZING.

I have this in the colour Nude Eclipse, which I haven't heard as much love for online as I have for the brighter colours like Big Bang and Apocalictic. The shade I have reminds me of two Rimmel lipsticks I have already, but a bit more glam. The two lookalikes are; one of my first everyday lipsticks- Rimmel Lasting Finish in Birthday Suit (£4.99) and Kate Moss Lasting Finish in (0)03 (£5.49).
I really would like to purchase more shades, in fuller tones though, perhaps more like Luna or Celestial.

There are eight different colours in the range, which you can buy for £5.99 here.

Item three: L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in shade FASHIONITA PINK 01

Balmy lips in 01
I have not tried this product yet, as I just can't stop looking at it. It is a beauty, and I have had my eye on it for a while, and have just taken the plunge and spent £7.99 for one in Boots. The packaging is just beautiful and looks good good good for the money. There's not much I can really tell you about this product yet, but if you would like a separate review on this please do comment below!

Oooooh the beauty!
You can buy these in twelve colours here for £8.19.

That is it! I hope you've enjoyed this post, if you would like more posts like this please do comment below.

I hope you have all had a rosie day,
big hugs and smiles to you all!

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful 2012, my year wasn't stand out amazing, but I feel achieved enough not to be too disapointed! I must admit 2013 does make me pretty nervous, if it's not bad enough that the number 13 is involved (apparently i'm superstitous now!), but I have a big year of exams ahead, yes this is my second and final year of GCSEs (oh the joys).
So to make up for the rubbish things in store this year, I have made new year's resolutions to keep a balance :
  1. Drink less hot chocolates - they are not a healthy form of stress relief (I'm sad about this).
  2. Keep calm - don't stress, don't worry and don't let anxiety control my life.
  3. Take care of my skin - get a proper skincare routine.
  4. Discover new interests and investigate different careers.
  5. Have fun - appreciate the little things in life that make me smile day to day.
  6. And finally - Start a blog.
So there are my 6 new year's resolutions, and as you may notice number six is already underway! I love to read beauty blogs and also watch beauty videos  so I finally decided to give in have ago myself as I really have (cheese warning) been inspired to join in. So here it is, my extra new and shiny (ok not so shiny- yet) blog - Rose and Petals. Please subscribe and watch the blogposts poppety up!

I hope you all have a happy and rosie 2013!
Natalie :)
